There’s a lot of Savabeel about this colt!
If it’s a Guineas/Derby prospect that excites you, then here’s your horse. By Awesome Rock from a three time winning Savabeel mare, he’s a strapping colt, the image of his sire in fact, with good conformation and a nice bit of length about him, and he’s got a pedigree that says he’ll be at his best over a mile and more.
He’s by the Group 1 Emirates Stakes (2000m) winner Awesome Rock, now a most progressive stallion in Western Australia who Perth racegoers will know best through the deeds of his WA Champion Fillies Stakes winner Searchin’ Rocs, and the stakes placed juvenile, Diamond Blue. Outspoken Lad is a dual winner by Awesome Rock, as is Rokanori, who at the time of writing is unbeaten for trainer Grant Williams having had three starts for three wins. It’s Grant that’s going to train this new colt, so he obviously knows all about the Awesome Rocks and what it takes to get them to win!
On the female side of this colt’s pedigree, there’s plenty of depth to suggest that he’ll get out to a mile and more. His first dam Zarabeel, is a three time winning Savabeel mare who won to 1900m, and his second dam, Exilio won to 1600m in New Zealand. Both his third and fourth dams on the pedigree page, Royal Tiara and Maganyos were Stakes winners, Royal Tiara winning 5 times from 2000m to 3200m including a win in the Group 1 Auckland Cup, and Maganyos winning 10 times from 1200m to 3000m in Europe. At stud, Exilio has had 3 of her foals to race for 3 winners, Royal Tiara has had 7 to race for 6 winners, and Maganyos has had 6 foals to race for 5 winners, so you can see that it’s a prolific winning female family with a high strike rate of runners to winners.
This colt is eligible and will be paid up for The Westspeed Platinum Bonus scheme and the Westspeed Platinum 4yo Extension, which is very popular amongst owners and trainers in WA, and for a very good reason. Standard prizemoney for a normal Saturday race in Perth (Tier 1) has recently gone up from $70,000 to $80,000 ($49,320 to the winner), but with a Westspeed Platinum horse such as this one, the owners receive an additional $33,000 for each Tier 1 race win, meaning a first prize of $82,320! And as if that’s not enough, a recent introduction is the payment of a Westspeed Platinum bonus for placegetters too. A Westspeed Platinum horse receives $6,600 for second and $3,300 for third on top of the normal place prizemoney!

You can do it very easily by taking just a small share in a professionally organised racing syndicate, and in this instance, get your horse trained by absolutely one of the best in the business, giving yourself every possible chance of success.
