Here’s a good looking filly, a beautiful filly in fact, that we purchased from the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale earlier in 2023.

An attractive physical type, she presented very well at the sale, with both our main bloodstock agent and our vet giving her the thumbs up.

She’s by the dual Stakes winning stallion Overshare. A Son of the Champion stallion I Am Invincible, Overshare was precocious enough to run in both the Blue Diamond Preview and Preludes, and was also a city winning two year old. In his three year old year, he took out the Listed McKenzie Stakes at Moonee Valley, and the Group 3 Zeditave Stakes at Caulfield. With the exception of his juvenile win, all of his other runs were in feature races.

As a stallion at stud, in his first season he had 55 foals born, and for the three breeding seasons after that, he’s had a further 278, which means that we should be seeing plenty of his progeny to race as two year old’s and over from now on. So far the best of his progeny is Lady Laguna, a winner of over $595,000, who in addition to winning at her first two starts, also went on to win at Listed level by taking out the Mick Dittman Stakes at Doomben in April this year.

On the female side of this filly’s pedigree page, her second, third and fourth dams were all multiple winners who’ve gone on to throw winners at stud, and that coupled with the fact that she’s a very good physical type, made her a buy for us at the right price. Since buying her at the sale, she’s since been transported over to Perth and has already been broken in receiving good reports from all who have worked with her.

She’s being trained in Perth by Trevor Andrews who’s built up such a good record over nearly four decades of training thoroughbreds. Trev has proven that he can win with colts and fillies, two year olds, three year olds or older horses, and both sprinters and stayers. His horses are always immaculately presented, and he’ll give this filly every opportunity to get herself-and you-into the winners circle!
