The beautifully bred NZ mare There’s A Thought notched up the first win of her career when easily accounting for her rivals at Northam on October 3rd. Appearing third up in the mile maiden after two successive seconds, she was aided by an absolute world perfect ride by Chris Parnham who pressed forward from an awkward draw to have her settling in the one/one position. She travelled nicely from there and was ready to pounce at the top of the straight, which she did, and the result was pretty much never in doubt in the run to the line.

By top stallion So You Think from an incredibly stout European family dominated by horses bred by The Aga Khan, There’s A Thought is destined for much better races and should relish the upcoming Ascot season…
