Oratorio juvenile ‘Advantage Norman’ produced a handy effort at Ascot on Saturday when making his raceday debut. Coming off the back of some good trial form which included a win and a placing from three trial starts, he was back in last position approaching the home turn, and despite receiving some interference in the straight, he finished on well to end up in fifth spot, 3 1/4 lengths from the winner. He returned the second fastest last 600m of the race, and his performance backed up the good opinion that his trainer Paul Jordan has of him.
The colt will have his next run in a slightly longer event also at Ascot on Christmas Eve…
