XAARPHONIC stopped a few hearts when he won at Albany on Thursday. In a very tight finish which thrilled the strong local crowd, he got up to score by a half head which in time terms was just 1/100th of a second!
This was Xaarphonic’s third win in a row and is testament to the hard work and dedication of previous trainer Ken WIlliamson who nursed the horse back to health after an almost fatal colic attack, and new trainer Kevin McAuley who has got the best out of the horse as he continues his rise up through the ratings.
Whilst we’re handing out plaudits, Dr Elle Crispe from The Horse Hospital at Ascot also deserves a very special mention for ‘pulling an all-nighter’ when Xaarphonic was wavering ominously towards his demise in October last year. It’s through the dedication and professionalism of the above three people and thier staff that Xaarphonic is racing successfully today..
