Star Soprano is obviously enjoying his time up in Broome this season. He scored in the opening event on the Ladies Day card today, further demonstrating his liking for the unique Broome surface.
With just 3 rivals against him, he jumped smartly, settling comfortably in second place amongst the quartet of runners, before easily asserting his dominance over Wuhan Warrior and winning by nearly a length and a half. The win takes his record in Broome to two wins and a third placing from his three starts there making the journey north a profitable one.
Congrats to all owners, and a big thanks go out to trainer Dan Morton, Luke Morton and Kate in charge of the Broome team, and of course jockey Chris Nicholl!
