After finishing third on debut at Bunbury a few weeks ago, Back To Bondi went two places better when winning at Ascot last week. Facing the starter for just the second time, the 3yo gelding was prominent all the way under the riding of jockey Shaun O’Donnell, and set out after the leader after turning for home, eventually winning by half a length. We’ve seen him want to lay in when put under pressure at his two race starts, and hopefully that’ll come good with experience.
