This is a nicely put together attractive filly from Book 1 of the 2026 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale.

As well as being a half-sister to three winners already, she’s also a half-sister to the highly rated Basset Hound who’s had three starts in Perth (all at Ascot) with absolutely no luck at all. A certainty beat first up when blocked for a run for the entirety of the straight when finishing fifth, he raced wide for the majority of the race at both his subsequent starts placing both times. He’s a very good horse in the making but the catalogue was printed before he started racing and so he doesn’t appear on the pedigree page (yet). He looks destined to upgrade her pedigree.

This filly impressed us at the inspections. She has a good body with a flowing topline and correct leg conformation, and she has a good temperament going about her business with no fuss.

Looking at the pedigree page, each of her second, third and fourth Dams are Stakes winners. IN A BOUND won the Group 2 Queen Of The Turf Stakes in addition to being placed three times in Group races, and her third Dam BOUNDING AWAY was one of the best race mares you could ever hope to see. An extremely talented and versatile horse, not only did she win the prestigious Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m), The Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) and The Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) as a two-year-old, but then also went on to win The Group 1 Flight Stakes and The Group 1 AJC Oaks and placing in a host of feature races in her classic year. Retired to stud, she only produced 1 to race and that was In A Bound.

Chairmanoftheboard is a half-brother to this filly, and he raced in England winning the equivalent of over A$300,000, winning at Goodwood (3) Haydock, Windsor and Newmarket.

As soon as the auctioneer’s gavel fell at the Magic Millions sale, the very first phone call I got was from trainer Michael Lane saying that he liked her a lot and would love to train her. She’s eligible for the Westspeed Platinum Bonus Scheme-one of the more lucrative bonus schemes that are available Australia wide, and that means more potential prizemoney to be earned in both her two and three year old seasons.
