This filly made our shortlist at the 2026 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale courtesy of her very good physique and the fact that she looks a good chance to run early.
I like Peltzer as a stallion. From limited numbers to race (his oldest progeny are just 3-year-olds), not only has he got BUCCLEUCH who is a Stakes winner in Melbourne, but we also have the very promising Think Pink Daze racing her in the West amongst others. This is the fourth Peltzer I’ve bought. My opinion is that they’re good, strong sprinting types, and they’re very affordable.
Whilst this filly is a bit light on in the pedigree page, it’s her physique that appealed. Correct conformation from head to toe, she looks like an athletic, precocious type who’ll be a genuine chance to run in the two year old races and then get even better with age. To my eye, she looks to be a 2yo flyer, so you shouldn’t have to wait long before you’re at the races with her. For this reason, she’s been nominated for the Magic Millions Perth Race Series, and is also included in the lucrative Westspeed Bonus Scheme too.
She’ll be trained at Ascot by the very likeable Josh Brown who last year made the move from Esperance to have a crack at making it in the city. A delight to work with, he’s got some of the best stables at Ascot, and as well as training a couple of our older horses, he’s also building a formidable team of younger horses, one of which is the very promising Yamanex who placed in this season’s $250,000 Magic Millions Classic at just it’s second start. Along with his partner Chelsea, the pair provide very good updates on the progress of their horses, and you’ll enjoy having your horse trained by Josh Brown!
