Cheque Mate caught punters off guard when he bounced back into the winners circle with a super impressive win at Pinjarra on Sunday. His average form thus far in his preparation can be put down to a few niggling little issues that have stopped him from stretching out and letting down at the business end of things like we know he can. However, after the latest bit of TLC since his last run, he reasserted his claim to fame when camping just off the pace and finishing all over the top of his oppostion gving nothing else as much as a look in. He won with authority and really looked the winner everywhere after turning for home-catching most people by surprise in the process!
That was Cheque Mate’s second win in his career so far, and if things keep going right for him, he can certainly win some more…
