Our handy mare CLASSY CAT continued on with her recent good form and scored an easy win at Pinjarra on Thursday May 5th.

The race was a heat of the Sky Channel Provincial Championship and it was a case of Deja Vu for trainer Ivan Haggerty as he won exactly the same race last year on his way to winning the final at Belmont Park with his former enigmatic sprinter Minimalist.

It was Classy Cat’s turn this year though and from barrier 1 with a cutaway rail, jockey Stephen Parnham (pictured) used his inside position to advantage and never left the rail as his mount recorded a soft win. Plenty of owners made the journey to Pinjarra for this race, once again showing that the mare enjoys a very good following from her big group of owners. It was her third win so far, and all being well, her next assignment will be the $60,000 final of the Sky Channel Provincial Championship which will be run at Belmont Park on May 21st…
