We’re pretty thrilled to add this nice filly to the team in Perth. Teaming up with Ascot based trainer Luke Fernie, we purchased this filly from the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale. She’s a half sister to Luke’s high quality filly LACED UP HEELS, winner of the Listed Burgess Queen Stakes, runner up in the Group 3 WA Champion Fillies Stakes, and as avid Perth racegoers will know, one of only two horses to date to have beaten the Champion WA filly AMELIA’S JEWEL!
Looking at the female side of this filly’s pedigree, we see just three dams on the page and all were multiple winners. It’s a very successful pedigree with plenty of black type winners, included amongst them the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes winner MIZZY, and the Group 2 WA Champion Fillies Stakes winner PRIME AGAIN. This pedigree will stand her in good stead for when she herself is eventually retired to stud, and there’s the very real possibility of this filly having substantial residual value as a broodmare should she show enough ability on the track.
Luke Fernie said that this filly was very much like Laced Up Heels from a physical point of view, and he’s looking forward to getting her into his stables when she’s ready, and hopefully following a similar path to Laced Up Heels…
