Almost Ready To Trial!
When Lady Laguna won the Group 3 Southern Cross Stakes at Rosehill in early February, it became her third feature race win a row following a Listed win at Doomben in December and her greatest payday, the $1M Magic Millions Fillies and Mares Classic at the Gold Coast in January. As the flagbearer for the stallion OVERSHARE, Lady Laguna then ran second at Rosehill in The Millie Fox Stakes last time out in February taking her record to 6 wins, 11 places and over $1.5M in prizemoney. Overfull also ran second at Doomben on the same day, whilst The Upgreyed, Kristobell, and Overfull and Lady Laguna were also winners for the stallion during February. Locally here in WA, at Pinjarra in fact, Close Talker, also by Overshare scored at just her second start in a race for trainer Simon Miller, and Storyville won a trial for Grant & Alana Williams. Overseas, Otahuhu won in Singapore for Donna Logan last week too. So, there’s plenty happening with the stallion’s progeny!
This filly is heading towards trials in mid March so it’s pretty much ‘Instant Action’ for her new owners, and certainly, whilst the focus at this time of the year is pretty much on buying yearlings and then offering them for syndication, for those that prefer to ‘pinch 12 months’, this filly will suit.
5% shares are priced at $2,370, 2.5% shares are $1,185, and I can predict with almost 100% certainty, that of the yearlings we buy in 2024, ALL will be more expensive than this!
