Buckeye Bullet continued his resurgence to form when succesful at Pinjarra on Sunday. Starting as a $2.70 favourite off the back of a close second at Ascot last time out, he was perfectly ridden by Troy Turner who gave his mount every possible chance, presenting him at the top of the straight, defying all challenges to win by a comfortable length on the line. Now trained in Bullsbrook by Stephanie Bakranich, Buckeye Bullet has had two runs in the new yard for a close first up second at Ascot, and Sunday’s win. He was most unlucky in that first up run, and in fact, figured prominently in The Stewards Report, and really should have won easily barring for interference when making his run at a vital stage. Sunday’s win more than made up for it however, and the owners on course were very vocal in their appreciation!  Buckeye Bullet now has the record of 15 starts for 2 wins and 6 placings, with clearly the potential for more to come.
