Our three year old giant ‘Bobby Benzine’ impressed trial watchers at Belmont on Monday with being runner up at just his second trial outing. Looking more in stature┬álike the wooden horse of Troy, and having the brains to match, Bobby is described by his trainer Paul Jordan as his ‘special needs child’. Despite being a slow to pick up on things, the impressive son of Kempinsky can gallop, and when learns to put it all together, he should develop into a nice, staying type.

Experience has shown us that it could take quite a few runs before Bob realises what he’s actually there for, so I doubt that he’d be a reliable punting proposition when taken to the races. However, it could pay you to follow him in the future. He makes his debut in a 1200m maiden at Pinjarra this Thursday…
