With the yearling sales over for 2021, the focus now is on the 2yo horses in training sales of which there are three. If you missed out on the first horse that we offered (it sold out in just a few days) to be trained by Williams Racing, then you might want to consider this two year old colt who we’re also bringing to Perth to be trained by Grant & Alana Williams!
Deep Field x Streamline Pearl 2 Year Old Colt:
This colt was Lot 88 at the recent Inglis Ready2Race Sale, and breezed up in good style.
Our ‘Chairman Of Selectors’, John Price described him as “a big, imposing type who was well held in his breeze up. Thought he’d make six figures so was over the Moon to get him for what we did. Show him a bit of time and he could pay you back in spades”.
It’s no surprise then that John is staying in the horse for 10% himself which is always a good sign!

Lot 88 Deep Field Colt Inglis Ready2Race Sale
DEEP FIELD was a very fast horse who was a dual Stakes winner and was also Group 1 placed from just 8 starts. He is in fact one of the fastest horses to go to stud in Australia in recent history, winning his first 5 starts by a combined total of 24 lengths, and that included setting a Class record on debut running 1100m in 1.03.18. He also set a new track record at Canterbury running 1100m in 1.03.04. His biggest win was at Group 2 level taking out the VRC TAB.com Stakes, in addition to winning the ATC Lightning Stakes at Listed level.
As a son of the great Northern Meteor, he retired to stud as hot property, and now stands at Newgate Farm where he’s become the Champion 3rd Season Sire by both winners and earnings. His yearlings have sold for up to $800,000, and he’s sired over 200 individual winners including amongst them impressive stakes winners such as the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate winner PORTLAND SKY, the Group 2 and Group 3 winning COSMIC FORCE, the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate winner DIG DEEP, FITUESE who won the G3 Toy Show Quality, the Group 3 winner BIG PARADE, the Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes winner CHAT, the Group 2 Sunline Stakes winner QUANTUM MECHANIC, and also ISOTOPE who is a triple Stakes winner at Listed level!
