Universal Ruler filly En Plein Air has started her racing career off in the right way after notching up her second win from just 4 starts when taking out the class 1 event for fillies & mares at Pinjarra in the first week of July. Noticeably though, more than the horse, the plaudits went to fledgling stable apprentice Chanel Cooper, who despite many attempts, had yet to ride a winner for trainers Grant & Alana Williams. En Plein Air put that right though, and there’s little doubt that there’ll be many more.
Hailing from the same family as this season’s Champion 2yo BUSTLING, En Plein Air is the third foal out of Our Pie O My to win, and interestingly for the breeding buffs, of the 18 foals eminating from the first three dams on En Plein Air’s pedigree page, all of them have been winners!
En Plein is scheduled to have a couple of more starts during July to try and win some more Westspeed bonuses before she turns four on August 1st…
