Fluro Neuro got his owners cheering again when he came with a big finish to claim victory in the Furphy Handicap (Class 3) over 1200m at Belmont Park yesterday.

Starting as the second favourite in the race, he was giving the odds on favourite a big start turning for home, but under the urging of top jockey William Pike, the Gingerbread Man colt produced a withering run to get and win comfortably in the end even with a little bit up his sleeve.

He’s building up quite an enviable record now with 2 wins and 4 second placings from just 7 starts. With just a week or so of the 2022-23 season remaining, co trainers Grant & Alana Williams will now give him one more opportunity to win one of the all important Westspeed Platinum Bonus payments, more than likely on Saturday July 29th.
