Hemlock Stone delighted his syndicate of owners when he produced a tough as teak effort to win at Belmont Park on Saturday. Sitting three deep without cover for the majority of the journey, and punching into a headwind too, the horse was entitled to put the cue back in the rack, but instead he did the complete opposite, rallied and strode out nicely to win by over 3 lengths! It was his fourth win from just 12 starts for Chamion trainers Grant & Alana Williams, and with the promise of plenty more to come too. He’s doing a terrific job for a very modest $11,000 yearling purchase….
