An outside barrier proved to be no hurdle at all for the very promising Hemlock Stone when he unleashed a powerful finish to win first up at Bunbury on Wednesday. Ridden patiently by Clint Johnston-Porter who rides very successfully in the blue and white Belhus Racing colours, Hemlock Stone put the result in no doubt inside the last 200m when he got out of a pocket and stormed to the front to win with a bit in hand. Racing in the distinctive one eyed blinkers, it was his second win from just 6 starts, and the lightly raced four year old son of Dalghar looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
