Main Engine gave her big group of owners a thrill when she opened her winning account at Ascot on March 17th. Around 20 owners including family and friends turned up at Ascot to watch her race, and they were very vocal in the run home, practically lifting her across the line. After dashing clear at the top of the straight, she was getting rapidly overhauled by the odds on favourite, but hung on to win by a small margin which got everyone out of their seats! Trainer Trevor Andrews was very optimistic about her future saying that he’d like to give her one more run before turning her out for a break aimed at bringing her back for the Belmont Park season through Winter and into Spring…
