Military Secret returned to the winners circle at his most recent start when he kicked off his three start Broome campaign with a narrow victory against just five rivals. Settling much closer to the lead than he usually does, he was third to the turn but didn’t get a clear run in the straight as jockey Shaun Meeres attempted to drive him between the two leaders. It looked very tight for a while there, but eventually Military Secret got through to score a narrow, albeit decisive win.
The winners cheque took his career prize money total to just a few dollars short of $300,000, and he’ll get every opportunity to pass that milestone when he returns to racing at Belmont in the next month or so…
