After a couple of handy runs where he’s finished 5th and then 3rd at Ascot during April, Minimalist continued on with his good form by winning a heat of the Provincial Championship at Pinjarra on Wednesday.
Ridden a treat by jockey Lucas Camilleri who seems to have struck a chord with the horse, Minimalist was always prominent in the race and was given every chance to win-an opportunity that he seized and took advantage of to win by a neck-much to the delight of his owners all around Australia who were ecstatic at the winning odds of 33/1!
Whilst many lost confidence in the horse during a period of average form since his previous win back in August 2014, trainer Ivan Haggerty continued on and with a few minor changes of late has seen his charge return to the winning list.
The final of the Provincial Championship is a $60,000 race to be held at Belmont Park on Saturday May 23rd…
