Trainer Liz Strempel bounced back into the city winners stall courtesy of a strong win by Navy Blue (pictured above) on January 29th when he took out the stayers event on the card by an impressive 2.3 lengths. It was yet another polished riding performance by apprentice Jade McNaught who continues her impressive rise up the ranks of Perth jockeys to be sitting behind only William Pike for the overall number of winners. This was Navy Blue’s fourth win, and his third since being shifted from Victoria to WA. All being well, he’ll have another couple of starts on city tracks before tackling a few country cups…
