Prize Catch carried our blue and white colours to victory for the fifth time in his career at Ascot in mid March, in the process taking his earnings past the $130,000 mark.
Any horse that can win a handful of races has done a good job, but for the blonde mane and tailed Prize Catch-a very flashy looking racehorse-there looks to be more to come.
Ridden confidently by Dan Staeck who chased home the leader to get up and win by a short margin, the son of Zoffany rebounded from his previous start where he started a lot shorter in the betting as quite honestly, we all expected him to win, and he finished fifth. For this win though, he was sent out a 9/1 chance and gave his owners and followers a great thrill!
Trainer Lindsey Smith will now head towards a similar ratings based race with Prize Catch, once again at Ascot, on Saturday April 7th..
