It was a big day for her many owners when Showaddywaddy broke through for a win at just her fourth trip to the races when she took out a maiden event over 2219m at Bunbury on March 8th. With the raucous vocal assistance of no doubt the biggest cheer squad of any horse on course that day, jockey Chris Parnham lifted her to a narrow albeit impressive win which demonstrated her fighting qualities. A 3 year old daughter of Western Australia’s 9 times Champion stallion Blackfriars, the win gave trainer Dan Morton the confidence to set her on path towards the WA Oaks and WA Derby, thereby giving her owners even more reason to cheer!
