It’s always an exciting time when you see your horses at the track for the first time and next week we get the opportunity to see two of our team making their public debuts when they go to to the trials at Lark Hill on Monday.
GRAND BANKS (pictured) is a 3yo gelding by Hurricane Sky who’s showing quite a bit of promise in his work. This good looking horse suffered an injury to one of his legs as a two year old and so has been given extra time to allow him to mature a little more. He’s going along nicely in his work for new trainer Brett Pope who says that at this early stage, he does seem to have his fair share of ability.
DANCER’S SPIRIT is a well bred 2yo filly by Consolidator from Ballet Girl. She’s being trained at Albany by Steve Wolfe who has formed quite an opinion of her in this-just her first preparation. She’s a very easy horse to like as she’s got such a lovely nature and is very kind to ride.
I can’t wait for Monday to roll around as these two newcomers step out in public for the very first time…
