Xaarphonic on the Perth Cup Trail?

Xaarphonic has run seconds at his last two starts and looks like he’s just starting to warm up for trainer Fenella Martin. He’ll be entered for a 2200m race at Ascot this coming Saturday and we’ll use that race as a tester to see if it’s worth pressing on to the Perth Cup. If he can win on Saturday and then go well in a race like the ATA Handicap, then he just might scrape his way into the Cup field as an outsider!
