Our 7 year old mare RED GEISHA broke through for her first win on WA soil when succesful at Pinjarra last week. Ridden almost the perfect race by Troy Turner, the good looking daughter of the now deceased Zeditave gave us all a big thrill to get up and win the 2000m event by a short margin in almost the last stride of the race-indicating that this could be her preferred journey at this stage of her career.
Now trained at Bullsbrook by Ivan Haggerty, Red Geisha has had her hoof firmly on the till for some now, and has finished close up at each of her starts in the West. A winner at Moonee Valley, and also placed at Moonee Valley, Sandown and Caulfield (in Saturday class fields), now that she’s achieved this first win on WA, she could easily add to her tally in the forthcoming weeks….
