Windinthepillows notched up his third placing in this campaign with a very close second at Pinjarra on Thursday. Ridden the perfect race by comeback jockey Clint Harvey, Windinthepillows was always well placed and looked the winner half way up the straight, only to be claimed in the last two strides by Shezapro ridden by Shaun O’Donnell. It was a stirring finish and a shame he was beaten, but still a postive result for each way backers.
Normally I wouldn’t write an article about a placegetter on our news site, reserving the honour strictly for winners, however with a drought of majors recently, a close second placing is a pretty uplifting result right now! Maybe it’s the start of better things to come…
