After a lengthy nine month layoff, our 7 year old gelding XAARPHONIC returned to racing this week and put in a very handy effort finishing fifth-just two lengths from the winner.
Ridden a patient race by apprentice Ellie Cockram, Xaarphonic poked up along the rails and even looked the winner at the 150m, only to peak on his run, which after such a long absence from the track, was fair enough. It was the best he’s ever gone first up from a spell though!
Now trained in a bush environment by Fenella Martin, Xaarphonic looked an absolute treat before the race and is obviously thriving on his work through the sand tracks at Muchea..
