Buckeye Bullet opened his winning account in style when taking out race 5 at the Toodyay meeting in late September.
Jockey Jordan Turner positioned the four-year-old perfectly in running, and when he eased the horse into the clear at the top of the straight, the race was never in doubt. Buckeye Bullet relished the downhill run to the winning post, and put a good margin on the field, coming away to win by 3 lengths which was the widest winning margin of the day! The win was much deserved after three consecutive placings to kick off his career. The Martin Allen trained gelding has now run top three in four of his five career starts including this impressive win and there looks to be plenty more in store…
