Belhus Racing’s born-again seven-year-old Solar Sky (pictured) is loving life on the west coast and is a lightweight chance in Race 8 at Ascot tomorrow, on the second weekend of Perth Racing’s The Masters series.

The former Sydneysider, who hardly raced in his first two years after arriving in WA, has been flying for new trainer Martin Allan, with four top-four finishes since kicking off his campaign at Northam on October 8.
Solar Sky, who has been restricted to only 11 starts by injury and illness, was strong through the line over 1800 metres last start and Allan has opted to test him over a middle distance this weekend, stretching him out beyond 1800 metres for the first time.

Exciting juvenile King Of Planets will also be flying the Belhus Racing flag at Ascot tomorrow, lining up in the $100,000 Crystal Slipper Stakes (Race 5) over 1100 metres.
The Trevor Andrews-prepared two-year-old has been placed at both outings to date and looks a nice horse in the making, while the Blue And White Brigade have a couple of interesting runners heading to Sunday’s Geraldton meeting.
Mr Confident heads towards a suitable 1800-metre Maiden (Race 2) and could be a smokey to break through, while Classy Cat has overcome some recent setbacks to be starting first up over 1200 metres in Race 5.
